This Darling Adventure is Back!

Hi everyone! It is SO good for us to be here together today! Welcome, welcome!

I have to admit… It has been a while… like a looooong while since I last blogged. If you have been following me on Instagram at all, you know that my dear husband and I have had quite the summer. Here in the North we take our summer months seriously and make a huge effort to be outside as much as possible. But alas, it is now autumn and the leaves are a-changin’. The days are getting shorter and the pumpkin spice lattes have (finally) arrived at Starbucks. And I think it is about time to get back into writing.

It is really quite funny, to be honest. Over the last few months I have greatly missed writing but for some reason I could not formulate in my mind what to write about. Sure, we have had a TON of adventures and there have been a number of other things that seemed like logical sources for inspiration. Whenever I thought about picking up my laptop, though, and actually writing it was like my mind went blank and there was NOTHING.

The more I have been thinking about this dilemma, though, the more I have realized that I actually NEED to write. I may not be the best writer out there and I may not be all that glamorous, but writing is one of the ways my creative juices get a-flowin’ and it is something that fuels my passion for life. So, here I am and here you are and together we can do this.

That all being said, I am excited to continue this journey with you. I probably will not be writing nearly as much as before and the formatting will be a bit different, but these are just minor details in the grand scheme of things. My main mission is always to encourage you to be the best you that you can be and to inspire you find the beauty in whatever story your life is writing. The means through which that is done is somewhat trivial in comparison.

So, let’s begin afresh and see where This Darling Adventure takes us!
